Not my story today

This is not my story today: I am not a child who was, at times, neglected and not given a voice. I am not a victim of abusers;  physical, emotional, sexual or psychological.  I am not a people-pleaser to keep the peace and I am not a slave to the beliefs I garnered in childhood that were not helpful. The human experience may have been difficult, awful in fact at times. but the outcome of it all is a beautiful, fully harmonised, wise woman whose soul is abundantly joyous for being released from its fears and who is able to love and trust with no demands. Love wins out - but the most important love is the love of self. Not in a narcissistic, selfish way but in a way that offers serenity, compassion, peace to the body and soul and an ability to love without chains.
